“We try to avoid very small projects (under R5k) because our process doesn’t work well at that scale. Likewise, we also pass on very large projects (over R300k) because they’re just not much fun to work on. We really like doing interesting and unique integration projects, ideally including multiple systems or hardware devices.  Our base rate for development is R350 per hour.

Mobile Applications

We develop moblie applications across multiple platforms. Using tools that allows easy portability fo code whilst still resulting in navite applications means you get mobile apps for all your favorite hadsets, without the cost of multiple developments.

Mobile operating systems supported natively includes iOS, Android and Blackberry. Other platforms like Nokia and Windows Mobile is supported via mobile web frameworks.

Web Applications

Custom web applications are built using standard components like PHP, Javascript & MySQL. Focus is placed on usability, security and functionality.

Integration between multiple applications and interfacing with external systems and devices is one of our specialities. In depth knowledge of hardware, networks and operating systems makes it possible for us to integrate services at various levels, making full use of available hardware and software.

Monitoring applications have been built that monitors bandwith usage, weather data, etc. Notfications are driven via email and SMS, with customization on a per user level.

Bespoke Developments

We do one off bespoke coding projects for vertical markets. Once such example is a Visual.Net app used to configure and control Zigbee based hardware dongles. This was done using a custom USB driver and serialnet protocol.

Another example is the integration of weather data from a weather station into a website, using a custom extraction process and embedding the data into a RRD database.

Yet another example is the integration of GPS location data into an app that maps this information onto Google Maps. The integration was done using a custom designed api used for data transmission between GPS and server.
